Yes. When you provide injury history, pain areas, or mobility constraints (full mobility, limited mobility, wheelchair user, or recovering from injury), workout plans avoid exercises that may aggravate those conditions, include substitutes, and add relevant precautions. Medical conditions such as hypertension are also respected in meal planning, for example by minimizing high-sodium dishes.
Healthy Ageing, Diabetes & Ayurveda
A balanced Indian diet for people above 50 should include protein-rich foods like dal, paneer, eggs, or curd, along with vegetables, whole grains like roti or rice, and healthy fats. Research suggests prioritizing protein and fiber helps maintain muscle and metabolic health.
Most adults above 50 benefit from 1.0–1.5 grams of protein per kg body weight daily, depending on activity levels. This supports muscle maintenance and metabolic health.
Weight loss after 50 requires a moderate calorie deficit, higher protein intake, and regular low-impact exercise like walking or strength training. Consistency and simple routines are more effective than extreme diets.
Walking is beneficial for cardiovascular health, but evidence indicates combining it with light strength training improves muscle mass, balance, and long-term health outcomes.
Safe exercises include walking, chair squats, light resistance training, stretching, and mobility exercises. These improve strength, balance, and joint health.
A diabetes-friendly Indian diet focuses on portion control, whole grains, high fiber foods, and adequate protein. Reducing refined carbs and spacing meals evenly can help manage blood sugar levels. If you have diabetes, review diet changes with your doctor.
Ayurveda focuses on digestion (Agni), meal timing, and food quality. While not a direct treatment, Ayurvedic principles can support better eating habits and long-term weight management.
